RACE CANCELLED!

Following a course inspection on Friday 15th, the Race Referee has taken the decision to cancel the Berkshire County XC Championships.

Waterlogged fields have caused concern, and resulted in only a very restricted land area being available for the race. The revised course would have had to consist of short parallel lanes and tight turns, which the race referee felt, on the advice of experienced colleagues, did not create a suitable, fair, XC course for the competitors.

Unfortunately there is no space in the calendar for the event to be rescheduled this season. As per competition rules, entrants will be entitled to a refund of 80% of the entry fee. No application for a refund may be made until after Christmas and the New Year.

Discussions regarding the Inter-Counties XC Championship will take place at a later date.
