127 people entered the Berkshire Road Running Championship this year, competing in 4 races from 5 miles to half-marathon, plus any marathon of their choosing. Competition was tight, with in one case the difference between overall gold & silver being literally 8 seconds over the marathon distance, but I’m pleased to say that 71 people from 16 different clubs won medals across the season. These medals will be presented at the Berkshire Athletics AGM at 7:30pm on 24th November at the Bracknell AC clubhouse.

Berkshire Road Running Championship Final Results
Please find the final results of the Berkshire Road Running Championships 2024.
Presentations of medals and trophies will take place at the Berkshire Athletics AGM on Monday 25th November at 7:30pm in the Bracknell AC Clubhouse.
Congratulations to all the winners.
As you are aware the post of Road Running Secretary is currently vacant. This year’s champs were administered temporarily by Sue Francis of Reading AC, however, she is unable to take the role on permanently due to her club commitments. The committee would like to thank Sue for ensuring the road running champs could happen in 2024.
We are looking for someone from within our road running community to take on the role. If a replacement cannot be found there will be no road running championships in 2025 and beyond. The role is not too time consuming, further information about the role can be obtained from Sue who can be contacted on rr@berkshireathletics.org.uk.

Road Running Champs 2024 Event 5 Burnham Beeches Half
Please find below the results of event 5 of the Berkshire Road Running Championships the Burnham Beeches Half Marathon. Congratulations to all the medallists. This was the last of the events that made up the 2024 road running champs so the overall standings will be calculated and shared in the next few weeks. Presentations will take place at the Berkshire Athletics AGM in November.
If you would like to see the road running champs continue next year and in the future please consider if you can help by taking on the role of road running manager. The role is not too time consuming but the champs can’t happen unless there is someone in the role.
