Inter Counties XC Selection
Invitations have now been
issued to those selected to
represent Berkshire at the Inter Counties Championships.
Please note however:
There was an error in the email
address specified on some of the invitations.
Invitees should send all requested
information (date of birth, age group, club, email address, telephone
number, whether a loan or purchase of vest is required and travel
preference) to XC manager
Andy Tuttle.
Selection Criteria
-
The first six athletes in each
age group at the County Championships will be given an invitation to run
at the Inter-Counties championships in Nottingham.

The remaining two places in
the under 13,15,17 & 20 age groups, and the remaining three places in the
Senior age groups will be filled using the following guidelines:

A worthy performance at the
Berks, Bucks & Oxon Championships. (Performances of non-Berkshire athletes
will be ignored for this purpose)

A previous good performance at
the Inter Counties race.

A good performance at the
Berkshire Schools Championship (Note: different age groups apply - not
applicable to Seniors )

These guidelines will also be
used to select the reserve places

If there are any disputes over
an athlete selection, County Committee member and former Cross Country
manager, Mick Marlow, will review the situation and make a final decision.
