Entering
Berkshire Championship
Road Races:
Berkshire County Championship races are
incorporated into scheduled road races staged in or as near as practicable
to the county.
It is the
responsibility of runners to ensure that for each race, they are properly entered into
both the hosting race AND the
Berkshire Championships prior to the scheduled race date.
10k/10M:
To enter the Berkshire County Championship tick the relevant entry box on
the organiser's entry form, or add a note to the organiser if entering online
via Runners World. The organisers will be dealing with all Championship
entries and results. Medals are normally awarded & presented on race day.
Please however confirm that you have entered the championships by email.

Half/Full
Marathon: As the race organisers may not
facilitate integrated Berkshire Championship entry, register your
Championship entry once you have entered the race AND
received your race number, by EMAIL, quoting:

1. Eligibility:
As per UKA rule 9 - in summary:
a) Any individual born in Berkshire OR with 9 months' continuous bona fide
residence in Berkshire prior to the date of the race (includes HM Forces
stationed in Berkshire) AND
b) who has not competed for any other county, or in any other county
championships during the competition year.
2. Championship
Fees:
Published race entry fees apply, there is no extra fee
required to enter the Berkshire
championship.
3.
Championship Prizes:
Berkshire County AA medals are awarded to the first 3
Championship finishers in each age category: male - under 40, 40-49, 50-59,
60+ and female - under 35, 35-44, 45-54, 55+.
NOTE: These age
groups apply to the Berkshire Championships for all races, irrespective of
those used by the race organisers for overall race categorisation.
4. Series
Trophies:
The top 10 runners in each category of each championship
race score ten through to one point respectively towards the series trophy.
At the end of the season, the
highest scoring runner in category will receive a trophy. In the event of a draw, head-to-head results will be taken
into account.
5. Championship
Entry:
Entry methods / medal presentations vary to accommodate
organisers preferences.

6. Use of Details:
Race number, name, age on race day and eligibility
will be used to determine medal winners. Club details will be displayed in
the results section, and where medals are sent out after race day, may be
sent to club chairmen/secretaries for onward presentation where several
medal winners are from the same club. Your e-mail address will be used as a
means to contact you after race day if we need to send you your medal. Your
data will not be sold to other parties or used for any form of marketing.
The only other likely use of your information would be to e-mail you in the
event that we were made aware by race organisers that a specific race had
been cancelled for any reason.
7.
Helping at a Championship Event:
All events typically welcome assistance with
marshalling. Contact the race organisers via their race website (links ill
appear on
the fixtures page).
8. Category
changes:
For trophy points accumulation purposes only, all athletes
will retain the age
category as at the date of the first race entered within the
series, for the duration of the series.
