Berkshire County Cross-Country Championships
16 December 2018 – St Andrews School, Pangbourne, RG8 8QA
Car Parking – It is essential that you park as directed by the marshals in the school grounds. Parking will be in marked spaces between the school building and the sports hall, at the sports hall and along the right hand side (only) of the entrance driveway to the school. A one way system will be in operation in the school grounds. Please note the course does cross the entrance driveway so please obey any instructions from the marshals.
Registration - Will take place in the Berkshire Athletics gazebo near the start finish areawhere there will also be space for Club tents/banners
Playing fields/Pre- school area – These areas will be taped off and are strictly out of bounds and should not be entered by anybody (competitors or spectators) under any circumstances
Refreshments – Will be available from the school cafe, Toilets – Are located in the new Sports hall
Club Vests - Club vests must be worn
Course - Maps and start times will be displayed near the start. The course does cross the entrance driveway plus one other stony area (~60m) you may wish to bring trail shoes as well as spikes and decide on the day.

Directions to St Andrews School
From the east M4:
Leave at Junction 12 and follow "A4 Theale". After about 1.2 miles turn right at the roundabout onto the “A340 Pangbourne" road. After about 2.5 miles enter the village of Tidmarsh and turn left opposite 'The Greyhound' public house, just after the speed camera, into Tidmarsh Lane, signposted "St Andrew's School". After 2 miles turn left into the School drive and follow the directions of the marshals for parking.
From Reading, Purley, Goring, Streatley, Whitchurch:
If entering Pangbourne on the A329 from Reading go over the first mini roundabout (first exit) and if coming over the Whitchurch bridge (B471) you will approach the same mini-roundabout and need to take the second exit. Take the first exit (left) at the next mini-roundabout (opposite The Elephant pub) onto the A340 towards Theale, and then almost immediately turn right (just after The Cross Keys pub) up Pangbourne Hill. This is signposted "Pangbourne College" but drive past the College entrance and keep on the same road for about 4 kilometres and turn left (signposted "St Andrew's School");at the first junction keep left and then turn immediately right into the School drive.
If coming along the A329 from Streatley/Goring drive past the train station, under the railway bridge and then over (2nd exit) the mini-roundabout opposite The Elephant pub and then almost immediately turn right (just after The Cross Keys pub) up Pangbourne Hill. This is signposted "Pangbourne College", but drive past the college and keep on the same road for about 4 kilometres and turn left (signposted "St Andrew's School") and at the first junction keep left and then turn immediately right into the School drive.
From the West M4:
Leave at Junction 13 and follow "A34 Oxford" keep in left lane. After about 100 metres turn left onto the slip road signposted Chieveley/Hermitage, at the top of the slip road (200m)turn right signposted Hermitage. Continue on this road for 1.6 miles then take the first exit at the mini-roundabout onto the “B4009 Streatley". After about 0.5 mile turn right just before 'The Fox Inn' signposted Yattendon/Pangbourne. Continue on this road for just over 5 miles until you get to three roads close together off to the left. Take the third road signposted Pangbourne. Continue on this road for just over 1 mile and you will see a sign to St Andrew's School directing you to the right. After 600m turn right into the School drive and follow the directions of the marshals for parking.
